2010 3.6 tdv8 random flat battery

Hi there
Today at the pub my Range Rover dedcided to have a flat battery, been using lately as normal, jumped in it this evening battery died, think time for new battery as when I bought I’m the car in August the car stood for about a month we had to jump it then, so could this now be my battery is braking down in the cold weather ? Any suggestions on a decent battery ?
Cheers

Yep, exactly the same thing happened to my car about 2 weeks ago when the cold weather started. Garage came out and the battery was down to 6 volts and not holding a charge. They replaced it with an Exide 105 stop/start I think - they brought a exide 115 but it wouldn't fit. The car was on its OEM factory unit so 7 years was a pretty good life. New battery has been fine since.

Put the biggest battery in you can.. and i know it's an ongoing debate on these forums but imo put an agm battery in!, Lasting longer when sitting is one thing the agm is very good at

Also do you always lock your car when not in use?.. It shuts down most power draining devices when you do as apposed to it sitting unlocked which some people may do in a garage situation

I don't think it would hurt to check your alternator output also as they seem to go on these cars often (replaced mine this evening/ same car) ... Just check bat voltage .. then start it and take notes of the voltage reading over the next few minutes... i think it's safe to say you want to see at least 13.5 volts 2010 TDV8 Autobiography
