Fuel gauge problem most likely unrelated to battery and alternator.

Thanks both for your replies. I thought that the fault was too much of a coincidence not to be related to the work carried out and failed alternator/battery, but maybe I was wrong (not for the first time!) and it’s just bad luck!

Usually shows empty and zero range. Can magically return to normal for a short while after going over a bump. , only to fail again soon after. Current: 2010 Range Rover L322

Just spoken with the garage and they are waiting for software update from the manufacturer of their diagnostic machine. Apparently there are further faults (temp gauge, Rev counter etc not working) but their diagnostic machine will currently not talk to my car! They think the dashboard has lost its memory and want to reset it. |

Still waiting for software update! Getting more than a little fed up.
