Electronic parking brake issues (EPB)

Morning all,

I've noticed that if I apply the EPB before changing the vehicle height (still not in the habit of pressing the access mode button before pulling up) the next time I start the car the EPB warning light on the dash flashes along with an accompanying bong. If I then release or put the handbrake on again the errors disappear.

It doesn't mention anywhere in the owners manual regarding this, but I presume by applying the EPB before changing height that I'm using it incorrectly, rather than it being an issue of the EPB?

Hi Dean
I've noticed that if I lower the car to the access position whilst stationary and whilst applying light brake pressure, I can hear the brakes 'moan' or creak very slightly. I assume that lowering the suspension generates a small rotational force at the axles. Maybe that is highlighting a adjustment problem with the parking brake system??

Andy
