Engine failsafe and air susp inactive/HDC

Since owning always had this intermitantly. Googled and most seem to say most air suspension faults throw up trans fail safe mode then go inactive?

Does engine failsafe mean something different? Suspension locks but nothing else happens. I either reset steering angle or just turning on/off sorts it but it is annoying. Should i be worried or just put up with it.

Get these light after engine failsafe prog,
Air Suspension Inactive
HDC Inactive
Brake warning light
ABS warning light
DSC warning light

Any ideas??

Ive not. I have read about this but car is not displaying any signs of weak battery.

Howecer, It does seem to happen when car left for a few days or short trips.

Since the cold weather thee sat nav screen has stopped coming on immediatly aswell- related??

Read the fix for this may be a new sat nav disc or could it be weak battery?

have a check around the sat nav compartment in the boot, look for signs of damp/condensation. it can cause big probs with the electric there..

in what way, ars you asking if the upgrade cures the blank screen...what nav unit do you have...
all these faults that get thrown up, are they just fault messages or do you have the fault happen..

i did read somewhere about a chap that had some sterio stuff fitted and a shortly after started to get al sorts or warning messagaes pop up, due to the sterio, has it got any after market stuff fitted, has it done this since you have had the car. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Sorry, should of been clearer. Relating to just the screen issue, i read that it is a recognised fault for l322 that when the cold weather hits screens don't come on immediatly and apparantly the fix is a RR sat nav software upgrade, but unsure what this means?

I'm sure the air suspension locking and dash lights is a seperate issue. Happened all day today!! Really annoying. Does engine failsafe point to something in particular. Don't want to waste money on new battery if not needed!!

Hi, standard Sat nav system with just the tv in motion lead from you, but fitted that months ago and no issues. Seems to have started since the cold weather and early morning starts for work. (screen issue)

Air suspension issue has been there since i bought it. Obviously didn't happen until a week into ownership but must of been previously happening as when bought previous owner had mentioned the reset process in conversation to kind of subtley pre warn me subliminaly!!

I feel the battery may be the issue, but nothing else suggests this and not keen on wasting the money if does not resolve!!

i have the upgrade disc, i can do you a copy but it has tobe the dvd maps.. is yours the mk4 unit..does it have dvd on the front..
i think its your batt on the basis that the faults come up but they are only messages and you dont experiance the fault.but as you say, if its not then you have wasted your money..
how about you have it tested by halfords, they will say it needs a new one.they always do just to get your money..buy it see how it goes and if it comes up again then whip it back to them, saying you still have a batt problem with starting, its not down to the batt and want your money back V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Like your thinking. Think i will def get battery tested. I only have the standard cd based system so don't think the copy will be any good but thanks all the same.

Gone from being intermittant fault to on all the time now? Would this still indicate battery or something more sinister??

IIRC it states in the hand book that when the battery charge gets low then systems like satnav, air-suspension, terrain response and basically all the fancy systems not required to drive the car at normal height will be shut down - all your problems point to the battery Nick. Somebody recently found that even their new battery wasn't staying charged and it was the electric steering column wasn't switching off when it reached the set cut off and the motor was always running - on RRSport we found last winter quite a few cars suffering from flat batteries also had corroded connections to the upper tailgate release switch due to condesation and leakage into the rubberised switch box. On FFRR water can also get into the rear 3/4 space where the audio/satnav/tv systems are located too which could be causing a discharging battery. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Think i'll spash out on a new battery as tainting my enjoyment at the mo!! Also got a weird surging and no accelaration when started last night. Wouldn't rev past 1200 revs and went round block in 1st gear with hazards on, turned off/on and problem went!! Related?? or just range rovers!!!
