EPB Fault

Hi folks,

I know there are lots of posts are park brake faults but I haven’t been able to find an answer to my problem.

The brake has never worked while I have had the car but now there is a new fault. When I start up I get a message in the dash - Park Brake Off Lift Switch To Apply - and the red brake symbol flashes repeatedly.

As the brake doesn’t work lifting the switch only brings the amber light on and another warning that the park brake is unavailable.

I have cleared all faults with the iid tool but the warning and light are still on.

I have read the warning relates to an emergency release operation being carried out but I can’t find a way to clear it.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks
Keith
