Have you had a look at the connectors (between the door and the body), it is either somewhere in the A pillar or in the door that shuts onto it. There is a post on here somewhere about this where the car would not unlock and mechanics got access by "removing" the side vent and accessing the connectors which were a bit worse for wear. Cleaned up / repaired and all fixed.

Had a similar (no interior lights or central locking) problem with mine - took it to a local vehicle electrician who charged £40 to sort it. QUID FACIUM TIBI

Found out today that the passenger electric window is always live regardless of the ignition been on or off.

New door lock is going to cost a fair whack, we had to have our drivers side door lock replaced recently and it was over £200 plus it took about 3 weeks to arrive as it had to be coded to the key from LR. Might be cheaper on the passenger side though! |

I had this problem on my front passenger door as well. It was a wiring problem which an indy garage fixed for me. They removed the lower front wing panel below the side vent, the side vent itself and the rubber plug/socket at the A pillar. Water or moisture had got in to it and corroded one of the pins to dust. They replaced this pin and cleaned up the rest of the contacts and all the door electrics sprang into life. It also cured the non functioning passenger mirror (adjustment and power fold) and the odd one of old being able to operate the passenger window from the passenger switch. Hope this may help. |
