The computer network on the wires that the cars use to talk to the electronics is totally different. Yours is BMW based and your sons is Ford based. The car will not be able to talk to the touchscreen.

Thanks for the reply. Not fussed about it being the same exactly as his, just the same priciple, ie touchscreen. Could change the motor but I like this one, I like the colour, the trim, the way it drives etc etc.

I've read that Stan, and the various links, but still none the wiser Does it keep satnav, on board computer (mileage, mpg etc) and does it keep the speaker system I have ? |
