Hi mate. We got the problem, it turned out to be the instrument cluster had totally failed. had to buy a brand new one, but you will have to send to main dealer to have done. Make sure you keep the old unit or you will have to buy a new engine ecu and BCM body control module as well to tie in the mileage which by the way is security protected. any problems please ask. cheers |

Ouch - that is not what I wanted to hear! Can I ask how much it cost please; I have been quoted just over £1,500 and want to understand if that is competitive? |

I had exactly the same issue, I also had the display not appear for around 5 minutes after ignition was turned on. Turned out to be a failing alternator. Now I've had the alternator replaced I haven't had any issues whatsoever. Its just a suggestion to get it checked out as its a damn site cheeper than a new or refurbed TFT |
