Picked up the oil from LR and changed the transfer case oil today.. Man that was satisfying.. dont think the oil had been changed since it was manufactured.

Haven't done the front on mine yet as it's a 14mm drain plug key, which I didn't have.

yes the front is fiddly! i would suggest an extension and UJ on your ratchet or i used the 1/2" drive handle i got with my caravan motor mover as it has a gentle curve in it which gave enough clearance from the sub frame. Also when you crack the fill plug on the front, i used a 14 mm ratchet spanner on the allen key socket to turn it quicker and easier. My old fat fingers not so agile these days... |

I found the transfer bix ones for 3.6 TDV8 but non for front diff.

it is worth noting, when changing differentials and transfer box oil to undo the filler plugs before draining the oil. just in case
