I did think about it.. just couldn't get my head round how you would close it. true smart key would operate it to open but do we need to put a button on the tailgate somewhere? Current:

Yes there is a button to add to the tailgate.

Nice to have but why would you really bother? Also, why in the video does he have to pull the tailgate down before pushing the button to close it? Alex

I seem to remember some discussion on the forum about this a little while ago and believe that Cam Tech Craig did look into into it as a potential aftermarket conversion.

Alex, he pulls it down then closes it, it then reopens to that position, I think it's to program the boot lid opening to a set open position. |

Cool system, but I agree with the split tailgate it makes it less useful as a mod. Tom
