Help!

After the trauma of a failed HP pump some time back, the car has been fine until the last weekend.

Towing the caravan ok on Friday evening (very hot outside though), until one hour into journey, said warning appears (no lights or other warnings) and car loses all power. Crawled into services. Switched off, waited 2-3 mins then restart and ok.

On Sunday, about same time into return journey, same thing. Switched off at traffic lights, restarted and ok again.

Classic symptoms, take it off and order another one, there is a thread on the wiki I did about how to repair it or swap it out. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

You can lash it up and take it steady. Have a read of he thread below then take of the hose to check for splits

Wouldn't drive too far with a van on without some type of repair. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Found the split on the RHS one. Assorted ick had spurted out too. Looks fairly recent.

I've photographed the serial ID. Are they just called intercooler hoses? 17 MY Corris Grey 4.4 VAB

I you can't source one or find hose tape, clean it up and wrap it with lots of duct tape and take it easy. They should be stock items in most LR dealers/next day at the worst. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
