Well a 400 mile round trip today gave me plenty of time to try all combinations of CC switches. Nothing I did turned the dreaded "adaptive" off. Double clicking the set switch just increases the speed by an MPH or two. Multiple clicking increases the effect. Holding no different. Minus does the opposite as you'd expect. Holding the distance buttons full in, full out or both together doesn't do it. I'm guessing that if there is a method it will be one of those weird ones (like the old phone paring methodology) which has to be described in a 17 point tech bulletin as its so counter intuitive.

I assume that your vehicle doesn't have ACC otherwise you would have tried disabling it. Mine's ecm is down at least 2 update levels on what's currently available so there's a remote chance that the very latest L322 s/w might have the feature. |

Hi, I have an L494 and I checked the manual for the fuse box, apparently the same fuse for the ACC operates the ACE system as well. I definitely do not want to disable the ACE system because that improves the handling of the vehicle but I need to disable the radar because I keep getting an error message that the radar system is blocked (put a new grill on). I'm fingers crossed just changing the parameters in the IID tool will disable the error messages on the instrument cluster. Any other suggestions? |

Was the radar unit bumped during the grille change? Maybe the radar unit needs to be recalibrated for the new grille, which could be an IIDtool function if the function exists for your vehicle. |

As far as I know the radar unit was not bumped during the grille change. I tried the calibration today and even during the calibration it says radar is blocked so I have a feeling it won't calibrate.

Okay I was able to disable the radar / adaptive cruise control / emergency braking with the IID tool on my 2015 Range Rover Sport L494 autobiography.

For members over this side of the pond, be careful not to copy the above otherwise your car might want to drive on tuther side of the road |

Australia is RHD and I haven't noticed my RR preferring the other side. |

Mine works fine and I like it, the adaptive bit stops me running into the back of someone when I fall asleep |

That worked in my 2017 Sport Stan, you can only get to 1 bar in the 322 Dec 2021- 2010 Facelift TDV8 4.4 AB in Stornoway Grey. |

That’s interesting that you can’t get in with it, I’ve come from normal cc to the acc and I love it, I found that you have to read the road ahead a bit so I anticipate the car in front slowing and move out before the system detects the slower car to maintain my set speed then move back in when I can, sometimes I can’t move out as the next lane is travelling faster then the speed I’ve set so I just sit behind and wait until a gap opens then move out.
