United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black
Corrosion areas?

I have a 2007 TVDV8 Vogue that I've had for 4 years now. I've noticed that there is some corrosion beneath the lip of the rear hatch, near the turn in the weld. I want to overhaul the paintwork in readiness to sell and wondered whether there were any other specific areas I should take a close look at that may have been susceptible to corrosion and could well need nipping in the bud.

The two main areas you need to look at are the area you have described and also the rear arches where the back doors shut over them.

Use the search function for corrosion and rear arches and there is a fair number of threads on it Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

The common areas are the rear tailgate and the rear arches. Have a search on the forum there are loads of posts about this problem. The other area would be under the plastic sills where water seems to trap with the muck but you will to remove these to have a look but its pretty easy.

you can start with this thread and there will be many more if you use the search. Thumbs Up

We are so lucky here in Australia that they don't salt the roads in winter, ( no snow) so hence little rust

I'm temped to take off the lower trip to give it a clean and a coat of tectal/fish oil or lanolin to insulate that area from my occasional beach driving. ______________________________
