Low rev misfire

The car has been fine and running well since I purchased it around a month ago.
It's converted Lpg 2002 HSE.
I recently put about £30 quid petrol in cheap fuel offer at Morrisons.
A day or so later I'm out and running in gas with no issues, on my journey home I noticed that the engine rpm was dropping to 250 then would hover between 250 and 500 rpm. I arrived home and did a quick search via t' internet. So checked the MAF which was clean, air filter was a tad grubby.

Following day popped out everything started fine then had a flashing EML and a low rev misfire on lpg. Switched it off and ran on petrol had the same symptom, gave it some beans and settled around 60 mph ran fine, few minutes passed I turned on the gas and again got a misfire. This time the eml stayed on. Got home ok but either on gas or petrol I'm getting low rev misfire, I would say this happens more when on gas than petrol, once the revs pick up the misfire clears.

Also noted that the right hand exhaust when idling on the drive when first started, had a small puff of smoke showing.
I have not no been doing any work within the engine bay, so I'm at a loss. Any pointers appreciated. Thanks

Nick

Just rectified the same issue after changing cam gaskets.. oil had filled the spark plug well and cylinder 8 was playing up.. easy to check.. start car and 1 at a time unplug coil from connector and engine tone should change. If you get to a cylinder that then note doesn't alter then you have found either a bad coil or sparkplug..

Update

Swapped the coil packs over and confirmed no5 pack is duff, new one ordered collect later today.

The other warning code showing the Evap system was just a loose connector.

Hopefully misfire cured.

Thanks, one thing I am wanting to know is the size of the plug socket, I bought a 12mm but this does not seem to fit onto the spark plug properly, its not a long socket either so I wonder if the rubber inner in the socket is stopping it from going over the plug?

Thanks

Nick
