2005 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 Remote locking not working.

Hi Guys, I have a problem with my remote central locking it does not work on the key fob. I had put new batteries in fobs, reprogrammed correct sequence and still not working. The central locking works with turning the key manually ok and also the central locking button in centre of dash works fine to. Any ideas??? its been like it for the past 6 months now and had diagnostic checks done and nothing found? Please help!!!

are your interior lights working? if not she is in transport mode can happen after a flat battery and a spike to ecu after jump start. she will need dealer reset or mechanic with proper diagnostic tool . most diagnostic tools can not cure this hope this helps

When I had this, if found that the RF receiver had suffered from water ingress.
The receiver is mounted under the trim cover on the inside top of the lift gate (passenger side). it is a small box approx size of an audio cassette (if you can remember what one is!) Think there are pics on here, certainly on rave.
I drilled out the plastic "rivets" in the corners with smallest drill possible opened up case and found circuit board all damp green and furry! Without much hope of success cleaned board carefully with Mentholated spirit and a toothbrush, dried and re fitted,(actually used screws from a cassette to reassemble.) Had to re sync key, but much to my surprise all worked fine. These units are also on Ebay quite often for around a tenner if no luck.
Jon.
