Fault code P0480

I've just scanned my car for faults with my iid tool and this fault code comes up.PCM ENGINE TDV8 P0480-13 (2F) FAN 1 CONTROL CIRCUIT GENERAL ELECTRIC FAILURE. I have cleared the fault but it comes back when I rescan.I take it this refers to the cooling fan but the temperature doesn't go above average. Any ideas about this fault and should I investigate further?

Having a quick look on google it seems to be the cooling fan wiring or cooling fan relay. Have you tested the electric for the fan or the fuse as that would be the best place to start to make sure its all working. Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue

The strange thing is I didn't think fullfats had an electric fan I thought it had a viscous fan. Just done a search and it may be something to do with the heater fan or the final stage resistor. 2009 Vogue SE Zermatt silver

info from the workshop manual with some clues below.

P048013
Fan 1 Control Circuit
Cooling fan control circuit high resistance
Check the cooling fan and circuits. Refer to the electrical guides. Repair/renew as necessary. Clear the DTCs and test for normal operation. Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue
