Just had a read of the instructions. Would I be right in thinking this doesn't fit the factory detachable towbar system? 2004 Vogue TD6 - Remapped |

It uses the same armature. You have to undo the bolt holding the towbar in place (not easy as they are assembled dry and at high torque) and then pull out the towbar unit from the armature (may require hammering as they rust into the socket). The bicycle carrier base then bolts into the armature in its place, the spanner required is meant to be included in the LR accessory kit. I'd grease the stem of the bicycle carrier and towbar before putting them back, and copper grease the threads of the bolts on both, to ease changeovers. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |
