Looking for some help / advise.
My 2002 4.4 vogue has just had discs and pads all round but now the air suspension is inactive. No lights just message in the message center.

The car front is in the sky, drivers rear is normal hight, passenger rear on the bump stop.

iCarsoft fault reader has fault Articulation validation failure logged.

Has anyone any ideas what that means?
Also when looking at the live data for hight the passenger rear has no values, all the others are all over the place with a plus 30 and minus 30 on the front and an 18 on the drivers rear.

First, have a look at the height sensors, especially the one that is on the bumpstops. Likely this has parted company (they do!). You can effect a repair with a coat hanger or similar to get you going. If not hard fault, might sort itself, a battery reset wouldn't hurt or use the icarSoft to clear all faults.

If not the height sensor, then you will need to check the bag for air .

Just had a look the sensor rod is no longer attached to the plastic arm.
Will fashion a temp repair to see if that helps.

Just got my self a 2004 - tdv6 L322. the suspension was high front and back. After reset with I930 i tried to lower from control switch, the back went down and stayed down to bump stop. The front stayed up and still up. I tried jumper to run compressors - running and feel air coming out of the exhaust valve located by the compressor. i can't get the back to go back up. There are no leeks. speed limited to 30MPH

Just had similar when trying to calibrate my height sensors. Didn't know what I was.doing basically.

It is a TD6 - straight six not a V6

Is your i930 showing any faults with the EAS ? Any lights on the dash or have they all gone off? EAS Inactive bong when you start up ? All doors need to be closed for the EAS to function.

You may need to clear all faults, try battery disconnection procedure (see wiki) and don't forget to turn steering wheel lock to lock afterwards .

Joe, Thanks (i rebuilt compressor new ring - desce replaced- motor runs when i cross connect at relay) but not with relay In

I have just reset and retested all the suspension function with I930 and i get following

Reservoir pressure 2.9 Bar
exhaust valve: Closed
reservior valve: Closed
compressor relay :OFF ( i fitted a new relay just incase)
high pressure valve:Closed
rear cross link valve: closed
compressor temp: 6 deg
Hold button: OFF, ride height invalid, up switch off but orange light flashing- Suspension inactive message 30mph

sorry I have TDV6 straight not V
Done battery disconnection and steering trick- no change

My reservoir pressure is at a steady 186psi / 12.8bar

After seeing all the faults i ordered a new compressors from Ribble Valley 4x4. Arrived today . I cleared all codes and did batt disconnection, fitted new compressor. Key in ignition at on position. The suspension control switch to UP and heard a loud hiss from back.
Ran the i930 test again and i get the following (on new compressors)
1 High pressure exhaust valve faulty
2 High pressure exhaust valve supply fault
3 Exhaust valve faulty
4 CAN BUS fault

All four corner were up when i got the car- no leaks in the system. All this started after using the i930 to rest all fault codes.
Any one know where the suspenstion ECU is located on TDV6/L322/2004 model

ECU is located passenger side, behind the lower fascia finisher (equivalent to where the OBDII connector is on the drivers side)

However, unlikely to be ECU related, not seen many reports on problems with that.

New compressor might just be having a hissy fit...? Are you sure the hissing was from the compressor and not from the reservoir valves?

Did you actually start the car and let it run for a while to build up pressure etc?

What is your reservoir pressure reading now ? .

Back from work and on with the problem. I have done test again, the compressor - no noise not kicking in no sound (when i short pins on relay the compressors works).
The pressure is now down to 1.38bar (was 2.9).
retested and now: Compressor relay OFF, reservoir valve closed, all valves closed.
I thought it might be the ECU.

Test / Replace relay ? (usually one comes in the box with a new compressor)

New relay/new compressor - key in on position = Compressor not kicking ON. When i strap out at relay then the compressors works and small amount of air coming out of the relief valve next to spare tyre. When i remove the line to air tank at this valve i get blow back. (this make me think the valve block next to the air tank under the car). had the car running for 15 mins and listned for compressor to kick in- zero

If you disconnect the output air pipe from the compressor it should run when you start the car (should try to raise pressure on system)

Does your i930 allow you to test the valves on each corner (like the IIDTool does) .
