2018 of course! Hopefully without the gills on front doors, time to move on Wink

Seriously, I think anyone buying a new 2017 will regret it when they see the facelifted one. Cool Supporter and maintainer of EDF - Mrs Edfors' shopping cart.

Isn't that an F-Pace with a Range Rover badge?
I'd rather have the MY18 FFRR, waiting for it too!
SVAutobiography Dynamic with new tech and a facelift please! And JLR, please don't let us wait too long!

Funny you ask this question, and today of all days.

I was due to factory collect my SVAD next Friday. However, I had a call from the dealer earlier today informing me that they'd missed off an option from my order, which can't be retrofitted! Suffice to say I am rather disappointed.

I therefore now find myself in the position of rejecting this car; which would mean another 6 month lead time, putting me just a further 6 months away from a potential MY18 SVAD collection next March.

So, I find myself in exactly the same position; order a new MY17 model or wait for the MY18 version.

Angel - I've just agreed the same thing myself. My MY17 car has now been rejected, and I'll be placing an MY18 SVAD order once that's possible.

However, as SWMBO had already agreed to the MY17 SVAD, permission is naturally implied for the MY18 SVAD Whistle

I now just need to conquer my OCD given the likely conflict between fingerprint marks and the x2 touch screens in the MY18 and touch sensitive steering wheel buttons Laughing

tell her my18 will work out cheaper taking into account how much my17 will depreciate once the new models out

Hi cayman. It was the advanced tow assist. To be honest, it's not something i use every day, but that's not the point.

Short answer, no.

Long answer...

They were designed and built in tandem but with different designed briefs and had the Velar been released first, people would no doubt have incorrectly assumed that the F-Pace was just a Velar with a different badge.

Whilst they certainly share many components, where they differ is, for example, with regards to suspension. One is set up to properly cope with off road and one is very much road biased. I am told the sensation is of sitting low in (effectively) a Jag saloon and sitting high in an off roader.

As I understand it anyway.
