A power issue interms of the battery no giving sufficient power,or a fuse etc? How many cables should be plugged into the back of the satnav? and the silver box attached to the base of the satnav?

The light is not illuminated at all. The are two plug dangling in that region, from memory they are white and blue. Looks like il need to remove it to gwt them pluggedin and see what happens.

best thing is, remove the unit....whip the top off..no screws to undo and you will be able to see if there is a disc in there, common prob is the units would fail when trying to eject.. my thought is why was it unplugged keep an eye out for new issues now. does your radio work as normal now, when you select nav it should say there is no disc if has not got one or jammed inside. ounce you have removed the unit you will have enough play on the leads to connect it and lay it on the boot floor and if you have any cd try to see if the unit will take the disc,it will try to read it but wont find what its looking for. then try to see if it will eject it,if it does this then the next step will be to get your hands on a map.. don't forget you should have a thin lead that goes to it as well this is the Arial and if ok will show the satellites in the top right hand corner. may be you should take a few pics and post so we can see what you have. Ok,i have sorted the SATNAV I just need a disc. So the only issue im having now is the radio tv etc all works on the display but i do not get any sound what so ever through the speakers. Has anyone had issues like this before? I have pictures of various things in the rear wheel arch but dont have a computer mind to post them up.

I had a similar issue and when I called the main dealer they told me "it would" be a problem with the amplifier which would cost £600 to replace (they said water would have got into the compartment where the amplifier is situated in the boot). Done a search on here and a few people suggested replacing the amp. Cant remember which amp it was (if you look in your manual it will tell you the number) but i removed and cleaned the amp, put it back in and straight away got my sound back through the radio/sat nav/cd! |

Hi there, thanks for your reply. I removed the amp yesterday and took it completely apart. Water had indeed got into the circuit boards. I cleaned them up and refitted it but it didnt work. So looks like a new amp for me. I did also find a little black box called Telemute Module-one of the wires had broke on that,so soldered it back together. When i took the box apart it looked like it had also had water ingress-does anyone know what that little box does.....does it indeed mute the tv?

Fraser just realised I referred to replacing the "amp" in my last email, what i meant was remove and clean the "fuse" from the circuit board. Sorry if I caused any confusion. |

A telemute interface is almost certainly aftermarket addition for an aftermarket phone kit (bluetooth or otherwise).
