With mine, 4 years ago I managed to negotiate 2 X MOT's included. That made it much easier to accept and I enjoyed not needing needing to negotiate each year. |

When I get the reminder I always contact the dealer and ask for the best price. By contact I mean actually speak to the service manager, not some numpty in a call centre. If it’s reasonable I say ok, if I think it’s steep I say so and 10% is chipped off. Last service (at 4 years old with 33k miles) was £530 inc the MoT. I thought that fair. Will be booking for this year shortly. |

I’m thinking if it included some sort of warranty then it would be worth it but not just for servicing.

You can either take the warranty out when the original warranty is still valid or pay for vehicle condition survey that tells them if any work needs doing before the new warranty can be applied.

Called Land Rover, they referred me to a a local stealership, who quoted me £198-00 for 165 point inspection and then a further £1,105-00 per year for warranty, they wont/dont do anything over the 12 months at a time so its a kind of rolling contract but I'm not sure if this is expensive or not, I thought in the grander scheme of things its probably not too bad? |

This sounds correct but be aware that with the warranty there are two levels with an option of Landrover Assistance that can be added to either. Rightly or wrongly I chose the higher level with assistance on the basis that one claim would cover the extra cost. |

Ive just signed up with RAC so I would probably go with the warranty that doesnt have roadside cover.

Not too bad a price, though like all warranties it’s getting them to pay out...... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks for this but Stratstones on-line quote is £802, Inchcape quoted me £730 on-line and £685 on the phone today. I'm just waiting for a quote from the JLR dealer in Gdansk, Poland, as I will be there for all of August. Car Care confirmed to me today that there would be no issues with my LR warranty if I have it serviced in Gdansk. |
