2006 full size Range Rover supercharged . Fault code p0960
About 3 weeks ago car was started outside temp minus 20 dash showed transmission fault limited gears only . Drove car about five miles now warmed up turn car off restarted no fault on car drives normal . Plugged in scanner and code p0960 . Had to use car as in middle of nowhere trying to sort problem . And same thing when cold limited when warm turn off and on and normal . Then it start to hold fault all time . What we noticed was trans pipes weeping so thought change them and cooler and check level . Got pipes from England changed dropped oil out of trans sump didn't change filter just wanted to see I it could be oil level but still have same fault code .
Any ideas ?

Sounds like a solenoid gone in the valve block, you can get these checked....  Pete
