Recently I've detected a funny smell that I can only describe as smelling like those air fresheners that you place in front of the air vents in your dash. I don't use one of those so I'm wondering what the cause might be.

Could it be screen wash fluid? The worst thing about being retired is you miss out on all the bank holidays |

I did wonder. It was raining yesterday and I did use the washers briefly once. Today is fine so I'll see if the smell continues. 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 automatic (LHD), Santorini Black

Coolant leak? I had a tiny one and it smelt sweet for some reason? |

Likely a coolant leak - coolant is quite sweet smelling - anyone who has had the heater matrix on a P38 leak will know that smell. Current Fleet:-
