It's easy in a manual...................if you can drive. Bit like parallel parking, oh, wait a minute, no need to learn that either! Motorway driving, no problem, smart cruise takes of that..............texters mandate!

Hang on a minute my friend. If you want to deny technological progress in life you aint gonna get very far. You can wind a window down but you dont moan about being able to just press a button.

Double standards me thinks. Having driver aids does mean you can drive without being able to drive. Silly boy. Yawn 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

One should not hold car with footbrake (manual gearbox) when stopped, especially on a hill. Handbrake on gearbox to Neutral. On moving off in gear take the bite, release handbrake. Don't tell me you can do it without rolling backwards Twisted Evil (out of control!)

Much the same applies to an auto, When stopped handbrake on into Neutral, etc.

That said, to get back on topic, my Audi Cab disengages when on a hill after a while of holding on creep. TD6 will sit there forever, even pull on sometimes! .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

I'll take the above as a starting point for a new thread as this is hijacking this one, please see "Passive driver aids- discuss" Drives:

Bringing it back on track..

I would (without knowing) suggest that it is the difference between gearboxes and as such would support Haylands response.

How much fuel you would actually save is probably not worth the loss of convenience of a little 'creep'.
Just my 2p. Smile
