Rear LED relay

Morning all, a quick question if I may (I have searched for relevant posts but can't find one that covers the key issue). The previous owner has fitted the later LED lights (2010-on I think) and although I get the usual occasional flicker they seem to work well apart from the NSR fog light. I get the 'check rear fog light' message when I start up and only the OSR works; I queried this when I bought the car and was told it was just because they were LED lights. I have recently had some other work done and it was found that a relay for the NSR is missing, i.e. there are 4 loose wires with spade connectors on the end. Will this have been deliberate so the lights work? If I simply replace the relay will the NSR fog light work without affecting the operation of the lights as a whole? Thanks. 1982 SIII 88” diesel

If the fog lights not right they probably haven't wired in a ballast.. I've just fitted a set and they worked plug and play apart from warning messages on dash and fogs being half on.. simply wired in resistors and ballasts and their perfect...

Thanks for the quick responses. Swapping the other one over is a good shout, however I don't know which wire is which as they're not marked - will I do any damage with the 'give it a try' approach?? Don't know anything about resistors and ballasts, all I can say is the lights work fine - apart from the flickering mainly on start up and the one fog light obviously. A new relay costs about 5 so not much outlay if it solves the problem. 1982 SIII 88” diesel
