Heater control panel stuck on demist programme

2002 TD6. Hit the button for the demist programme this morning and everything worked as advertised

However its now stuck in demist mode. I cant turn down the fans redirect air or rurn off demist mode.

Has anyone come across this before? Any idea how to fix it?

To conclude this for anyone who has a similar issue in the future, I've no idea what caused the fault but it was cured by replacing the heater control panel.

One of the easiest 'dashboard' jobs I've ever had to do. the two side panels pull off, which allows you to simply pull the unit forward, unplug the cables and replace.

Its also really easy to change the facia on the panel, so if your replacement is dirtier or more scuffed than your existing unit don't worry. Just swap it.
