Battery charging rate???

I have noticed something regarding my battery management system in my RR.

When I start my car (from yesterday) I have noticed lower charge rate (looking at Navi service menu)

First it charges battery at 11.6 - 11.7 Volt then it goes to 12.4 -12.5 Volt and after 10km or 10 min of driving it goes to 14.2-14.3 Volts. Is this normal operation? I do have battery management system on my RR. And I saw on negative terminal sticker that says where it was re-calibrated. Basically on the day I bought new battery.

Is this normal? Shouldn't it bump up Voltage to 14.4- 14.6 Volt on start up like any other car?

It doesn't charge the battery straight away to relieve pressure on the system, they all have this smart charge system, it only takes a matter of seconds to replenish the battery after a start, the amount of energy used is very small, the starter only runs for about a second...

The charge rate will vary depending on how many electrical items you have on at any time...

So nothing to worry about... Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Pete

Stefan

My system fairly quickly goes up to 14.7 volts after starting. By fairly quickly I mean 2 or 3 seconds.
Which is where it mostly stays.

At 11.6v the battery is not being charged...
