It allows you to connect NavCoder without all the messing about, you just plug it in the computer and the obd socket in the car (top of pocket under light switch) The lead did come with some BMW software, but I've never installed it, I just wanted to use it to connect NavCoder.... which is free to download and look at...but, you do have to buy a licence to talk to the car....

Just FYI you can reset the clock to 12 by pulling the fuse, a battery reset will reset the MPG as well although I wouldn't bother as it is so inaccurate it's ridiculous... just pluck a number out the sky and you will be closer to the real MPG...... |
