Ok I did my research and see this is a common issue that causes the loss of a blowing fan and odd fan speed issues. As usual these things go bad in the worst weather and worst time. This weekend up in New England with temp colder that Iceland the fan stops. Ordered FSR. Even if it isn't the issue I'm sure it won't go to waste.
Here is the history:
This summer A/C stopped producing cold air. Again at the worst time in mid 90s and heavy humidity. The after about 5 hours it was back on blowing cold. Once home checked pressures and all perfect. Never happened again. Prior to this the fan speed would do odd changes on its own. Thought it was a function of the system at the time. Then a few weeks ago after sitting 3-4 days the battery was dead(9.9v). Jump charge and no problem. I blamed it on my Smartride OBDII reader for my Nationwide insurance discount draining it. Looking back at these things are there opinions FSR was the culprit?
thanks
