Can you identify this connector?

I'm trying to identify the make of this connector, so that I can get a plug that is the same...

It's 25 mm x 14 mm and the pins are approximately 3 mm wide

Whistle I'm looking to join on to the cable that plugs in to this, but without cutting anything

Scotchlock ? (Starts flame war! Twisted Evil )

They all look a bit like this, but everyone I have had apart looks different in some way. Is there nothing in RAVE (Connections in Electrical Library) that helps? .

Looks similar to the VW part number 1J0 973 803

Have you got the other connect that fits with it? Any part numbers or markings on it?

Actually scrap that VW part number, that's the 1.5mm wide tab version.

There is a 2.8mm wide tab version, but only as a plug, not the socket you've shown.

The plug is 1J0 973 723

That was as far as I got.. I thought eureka when I stumbled on the VW plug... and then relised that it was a 1.5mm blade... I'll try and get some more info off the plug, but it's right at the back of the engine bay and buried under a load of fuel and cooler pipes Shocked Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Embarassed It's Mercedes ML 270 CDI swirl flap actuator..... I've just had to do a delete, but to fool the ECU and stop it going into limp mode you have to add to the circuit... at the moment it's just pushed in to the plug... but it's not a good fit. I'm not that worried about cutting the loom and joining in the patch.. but if it could be made plug and play... Whistle there could be a few quids to be made Whistle And it would be easily reversible too Thumbs Up

You lot don't realise just how lucky you are that Land Rover decided to use the non swirl flap motor from BMW... there are a total pain... because the inlet manifold is made by Airfix the moving flaps wear the holes down and cause no end of problems... and then it jambs and triggers limp mode Sad

Still having done the job I'd rather be changing injectors on a Rangie than remove the inlet manifold on a Merc.. they have bolted everything including the kitchen sink to it... fuel filter, fuel cooler, power steering reservoir, EGR cooler... and then you have to remove the fuel rail and thermostat to get enough clearance Clarence... total PITA Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... It may be worth having a google for Bosch 3 pin connector and looking at images or mercedes 3 pin connector or bosch weatherproof connector but select images and try and find one that looks similar and then go to the page. That's how i found the connectors i needed for my sidelights.

Just about to give up and hack the loom, and stumbled on what looks to be the right plug on AliExpress (Ping Pong Fleabay copy, they'll copy anything Laughing ) Mr. Green But in true Chinese, don't give too much away, tradition there are no sizes, so I'm now waiting for a pigeon English reply Laughing Fingers crossed that I can understand it Wink Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... I wish, you need to move the decimal point to get nearer the price.... but at least it came in less than the VAT threshold, so HMRC didn't get to add their pain to it Laughing Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
