Forgot to mention..i got an engine fault last week saying electric thermostat fault last occurrence plausibility...could it be related |

Electric thermostat fault will not affect the heating.. I would take off the plug on top of the thermostat housing, under the pipe that goes to the plenum at the front of the engine, the thermostats can leak coolant into the plug and corrode and then seep up the wire and into the engine ECU and wreck it (I know it sounds far fetched but it does happen) If it is leaking then it's a new thermostat job...

I will check that tomorrow I have an upgraded thermostat in its box ready to be fitted.if need be it can be installed as a priority! this is 2nd reason today for me to get an iid tool |
