thoughts

I have a problem in the winter, if im at an intersection turning left and road is icy sometimes the car car just wont turn. This happens with or without snow tires, accelerating or slowing doesn't matter. In the end I will come to a complete stop then try again. Does anyone have any theories? I can only think either excessive toe in or rear diff staying locked. I dont have excessive tire wear. Anyone else have this problem? my wifes LR3 seems way better turning on ice. Guess maybe a four wheel drive problem with no power going to front wheels is possible.. Antilock brakes dont come on when this happens either.

Thank You

Diff as you say or traction control maybe, do you have any fault codes stored?

no faults, it does kinda feel like a posi in the back when trying to turn. When I use terrain response it does show rear diff unlocked. If I select snow program its much much worse on ice Very Happy The back end never kicks out though, first car was a 72 road runner with a posi and remember it was very easy to have back end kick out on ice. Thanks for response.

I';m not sure really, we don't get ice here any more, I notice you are in London Canada and not London as in 30 miles away from me. Very Happy
I don't know how much is electronic on the later models, mine is a 2004 so I don't have much electronic traction control going on i don't think.
Where you say you have no faults, what did you scan it with ?
Maybe give it a good blast about on some slippery mud forcing the traction control into having something to think about.

I had nearside upper rear bush worn and it was giving me rear wheel steer but that was noticeable on dry roads so might not help

A four wheel alignment check wouldn't hurt then in that case, it is all adjustable at the rear if it's the same as mine
