I was tying my boot laces this afternoon, and as I was doubled over the Range Rover started to open all the windows and sun roof as I was obviously pressing and holding the open button on the fob


I knew the car had total closure feature, but not a total opening feature

I've just realised my 04 plate does it as wel..handy in the summer to vent the car prior to using it...did you know if you press the lock button once if the cars locked it lights up the cars interior and the approach lights under the mirrors....i was impressed

Be warned of Total Open, Total Close and Follow You Home Lighting etc. They are all optional settings which can be programmed by the dealer or capable diagnostic tool like the IID.
I say be warned as mine was set for Total Open but not Total Close. Total Open opened everything, nice I thought when trying it for the first time but Total Close didn't work so had to go around and close all the windows before I proceeded to wash the motor off.
Unfortunately I only realised Total Open included the sunroof too when the bucket of water I was throwing over the roof to rinse off was in mid flight!
Luckily not much went inside...Total Close was programmed in 30 minutes later with the IID tool

You can specify which lights you use for Follow You Home Lighting so if you always park in a certain position at home you can either have headlights or reverse lights (or whichever lights you prefer) come on for xx minutes (headlights must be switched off after the ignition to activate it). I believe facelift vehicles you can change the timing of the lights via the info screen, earlier ones I don't think you can.

Probably the best programming option, if you don't need it, is to turn off the Easy Entry/Exit auto steering column adjustment just to save on wear and tear.
