That would have to be motorway miles Ryan, so I would suggest minimal wear and tear, even on the seats. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

I would say that as long as you expect to do lower than average miles, it would be a great buy.

40k miles or 75k km is nothing to be concerned about particularly if greater than average use, if it's been serviced as required according to miles. ______________________________

I wouldn't be concerned at that sort of miles.

Very little wear on that I would reckon Ryan, brakes and tyres excepted. As said if you are doing low miles it's a smart way to buy. 40k on an 18 month old car, 2200 miles a month, if you only do 6000 miles per year it will even out when the car is 6 years old with about 65k on it, then you will have an average mileage car it does depend on how long you want to keep it. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

So come on Ryan, this clearly isn't hypothetical!

40,000 miles is only just run in... long enough for all the niggles to have been sorted but new enough to still 'feel' new.

Likewise this is the route I went - bought approved used at 2 years old and 70k miles - now it's 6 years and 105k, so first owner took crazy depreciation!! |

Thinking about this, it only really matters if you are into changing your car regularly and then depreciation kicks in. If you buy planning to keep the thing for a good ten years then if you do high mileage or low its condition will be down to how well you look after it and its value will reach the point where it is no longer monetary but worth more to you than anybody else.☺ |
