Rear Lights

I thought I just needed to replace the passenger side rear light on my L322, now it looks like I need both, plus whatever clips fit on onto the recesses in the body to take the push in lugs on the lights themselves. Can anyone direct me to some pics and/or part numbers so I can work out what I need ?

Also, what are peoples opinions of the new but non genuine lights available ? They seem to be priced about the same as secondhand units, but most of the secondhand units I've seen have some sort of damage.

Thanks Thumbs Up

Powerfull uk now seem to have aftermarket lights that look the same as factory ones , Not those hideous things they originally sold (and still do i believe), They also have the clips and gromets etc required , Click on each year model of l322 on their site to see different versions / listings

Yes, there are quite a few sellers on eBay with aftermarket lights, which is why I was wondering if anyone has bought a set and could comment on the quality ? They all look to be a pretty good match but you can't always trust the photos Shocked

Shocked they've dropped in price somewhat Shocked

If powerful are selling them, they should fit without issue, normally if there is some kind of adjustment needed then they will say.. and normally produce a video to help Thumbs Up

FYI having Genuine lights is only a guaranty they will fit.... remember it's a genuine light that your replacing and it has failed Rolling Eyes and in most cases doing an impression of an aquarium Laughing They couldn't make a pattern light any worse than Land Rover Rolling with laughter Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... going for the later LED l322 you need to remove the old light bracket and drill holes fit plastic lugs and fit balast resistors (or a plug in unit on ebay £120 ish for a pair)

I have genuine 2003 red / orange rear lights but in the garage I have LED ones got them a few weeks ago when on offer from eurocrapparts

I picked up a pair of red/clear genuine lights on ebay, and bought the fitting sockets from the main dealer so all good now. I'd wanted to stay with the red/amber originals, but I kind of like the red/clear versions better now they are on the car.

At least thats one thing off the list...... Rolling Eyes
