My vehicle was in for an entire day having the key options and Nav on the move enabled. It took them over 6 hours to load everything correctly as they ended up loading every option back to the car individually.

Well, I have a degree of empathy , though my issue was far simpler... apparently the newer kit that my local dealer uses to reset the service milage doesn't work on my car (2003) AND would you believe it the "Insert job description of choice here" didn't know how to reset it manually on the cars binacle which I learned how to do on here!

Yeah, he said it started up fine, ticked the box, it downloaded a couple of files quite quickly then opened a new window saying Downloading Files: Time Left 56 minutes. It then proceeded to take 2.5 hours. It tied up the testbook but he used the time to do other stuff. I certainly do owe him a drink (but only once I've seen the bill ) The master technician had queried if it had the latest DVD but it does. It must just be one hell of a large file or a very slow connection..... Haven't had time to get on to RR yet about the service indicator and I notice that I don't get a seat belt warning if I drive off without out it on. I might have run through the fuses at the weekend just to be sure. Even the other "tick boxes" for the locking etc took a while to activate, iirc it was about 20mins. I must ask him to see if there were any error codes, I've been away for a few days so haven't had a chance to catch up with him properly. |
