When I burnt out the Pirellis that were fitted to my fatty when I bought it I went for a set of Grabber ATs as recommended by many on here. After going through two complete sets rather quickly (18 months) I came across the Duratracs and decided a change was necessary. I wasn't doing particularly high mileage, circa 20k per annum, but found on inspection that the sidewalls on the ATs were badly cracked. There was still plenty of tread but I didn't trust the tyres anymore.
With regards to the speed rating - whilst I admit to not always sticking to the speed limit I don't go near the maximum rating of the Duratracs so frankly whilst they're only rated to 112mph then they're fine at 70mph.
In terms of durability they've been surviving better than the ATs and off-road they're performing much better. Please bear in mind though that I tend to drive from one end of the country to the other and then proceed into a boggy Welsh field or Scottish Highlands.
So as an all-terrain tyre for an L322 then I would recommend them. I'm not expecting them to be comparable to the 265/75R16 KM2s that are on the 110 which are still going strong at 40k miles. Ed
