Question Regarding Wheels??

The MY17 FFRR AB comes with 21" 10 Spoke Style 101 as standard & i've ticked the box for the 22" & Split Spoke Style 707 wheels at a cost of £2100.

Now the question is to date in my car ownership i don't think i've ever spec'd larger wheels & have gone with the standard wheel offering, that being the Style 101 for the AB. Now i do think the Style 707 really set off well against Carpathian Grey which is the colour i've ordered, however this nagging little doubt's in my head that are the upgraded wheels worth the extra outlay & could (as is often the case with many other cars), the larger wheels compromise the ride/handling on the road?

I'm taking out the Complete Wheel care Package, so not quite so bothered about the cost to replace tyres as other than fair wear & tear they'll be covered, as will any kerb damage to the wheels.

Anyone driven the car with these wheel sizes & noticed any difference?

I gave my spec to the dealer circa £104.000 and told him if he would add style 504 22 inch wheels at no cost, (£1500), I would sign up there and then. Saved me a few bob and they ride and handle fine. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20
I swear you will never see anything like this ever again....watch it..drink it in.

I've had both 21's & 22's - I preferred the 22's

However, it depends on the roads you drive.... IMHO the 22's are better on motorways & fast A roads

and most importantly, my wife thinks they look better and I always do what she says Whistle

Thanks.

The other option is i buy the 22"s from say eBay with originals including tyres selling for around £1800-2000 but given i'll have got the 21"s with the car which i guess i could sell for say £1500, this although somewhat off a hassle would save me around £1600.

I do much prefer the 22"s & part of me thinks the buy/sell route is a hassle, but assuming those online that state are genuine are in fact, then surely a possible route?

ebay has loads of these wheels for sale and unless they are very cheap they do tend to stay there for ages... ... - .- -.

Agreed, i've seen many on eBay, although those at close to £1000 i'm confident are not genuine, but even so if they can be bought new for £1800 online, that's still £300 less than the RR option price, plus i'd have the OEM 21's i could sell.

The 707 Style wheels do look stunning against Carpathian Grey. Not sure i've seen the Black Pack on a Carpathian car but did ponder over the black pack when i was considering White & Blue, but thought the Black Pack may get lost against a dark body colour.

I've requested delivery at the end of March next year as that's when my current M5 goes back, however i may be able to get out of the M5 a little earlier so may take delivery at the beginning of March.

Yours?

Mine came with 20's & I put a set of 22's on it from eBay - I got mine from this guy who seems to be one of the more reputable sellers. I collected them and paid him under £2k, but that was 18 months ago.

I also bought a set of 21's for winter tyres, but didn't like the look, so bought another set of 22's Cool
