Was aware of that procedure and have have used many times to "Synchronise" one or two keys with the car after battery replacement etc. This works for making both keys work in the central locking system but the chip immobiliser is a different system.

Dealer seems to be saying this "syncing" will not work for a new key as the actual chip needs to be "programmed" to the immobiliser to start the car...

I will test and see when I get the key if the car has not been collected by then!

Tried that and all it does is disable the other key every time. Big Cry
