United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Stornoway Grey

Big change of plans, I was made an offer of a dream job to do part time in addition to everything else that I couldn't pass up. So, yes I am still getting the money together to buy a house to rent out up north, however, the Range Rover is staying. I now do vehicle remapping as part of an existing business, as well as other jobs for them in addition to my towing etc... so I am keeping my toy. However if the new job ends up being long term, then we will be looking to move to a more suitable location as my partner has also started a new job. But my neighbour seems to be pre-occupied with a Censored storm she has created within her block of flats and the other residents and has lost her audience there.

Best thing about my new job is, I still get to choose my own hours Very Happy

This also means I now have much better access to facilities to work on my own cars, which means 1 day a week, I can take my cars into a workshop with ramps and tools, and do needed work. Needless to say, I have 2 months of Saturday mornings aside to get 5 of the 6 vehicles up on the ramps.

I was feeling really sad at the thought of selling my Range Rover, actually relieved that I don't have to, Although, that said, I have got someone interested in buying the V8 off of me. Soo, if the amount offered is right, then I will let it go, but no longer posting new adverts for it to sell it at least for the near future.

After a couple of months of not having time to get down and give my Range Rover a good run, I squeezed time out and went and dealt with it. The tracker alerted me to the battery being under 5 volts, so had to use my jump pack to get it started, it was covered in bird poo and dirt, so had it valeted. But after a good drive, and some fresh fuel, I had to park it back up down at my parents and take my Discovery home. This is only because my attempt at reducing cars and my circumstances changed again, so currently have 3 D3's, 1 L322, 1 Skoda Superb, Smart ForFour, Meriva A, Golf GT and a tatty Fiesta Rolling with laughter

Some will be sold, but I think my next goal is to move to a property with a big driveway and suitable area at the back of the drive to either build a workshop / garage, or drive that can have gates that allow me to bring the cars through to my back garden. The move will be on hold until next year at the earliest though.

Fiesta was bought to scrap, but the day I brought it home, they moaned about where I had parked it, same place all my cars have been parked for over 3 years, so checked my insurance and they said it would cost £0 to add it to my multicar policy, so added it to my cars to use, and although the power steering is leaking and the coolant bottle cracked (now replaced), the car just keeps going, so I am happy to use it.

I scrapped the Fiesta, now have 2 BMW 525D's, Skoda Superb, Golf, Seat Ibiza, 2 x D3's and my L322. I have started using my L322 as my daily commuter to do 80 mile a day round trips. On the Motorway when I pull the lead out of my foot, it is ok on fuel, then you get the idiot who does 50mph on the motorway and pulls out in to the fast lane and my sensible driving turns into a massive Censored this Censored , better get my foot down to minimise my time on the motorway. I need to recalibrate my suspension, but putting this off as I want to replace all 4 tyres at the weekend with 45's instead of the 40's that are on it.

4.4 M62 Petrol V8, At the moment with a slight blow on the cat and 2 dead lambda sensors I am getting 28mpg on the motorway when cruising at 70mph on a 40 mile journey including some town driving with my car loaded with tools and people.

Around town its getting 17.6mpg. Figures worked out via an app.

Took my beast laning on Sunday in the morning before I took it to work and parked it up awaiting the sump pan to be changed. I might do it one evening if a ramp is free. But for now, enjoying another toy I collected on Sunday, a convertible Audi A4.

I know I have been quiet for a little while. I have a fleet of cars and thanks to yet another tyre being stabbed, Oscar has been parked up for a little while. However tomorrow he is getting 4 new tyres of a better size, and will be back in use. Currently driving a Sprinter, XC90, BMW and D3 as my dailies though.

The security has now been upgraded on my house, 6 cameras on the front of the house, most cars now have cameras in them, and 4 cameras to the rear.

Got Oscar home, now has 4 larger tyres, but sadly 1 wheel has got a dent in it, I suspect this is from the time I hit the massive pot hole that broke my throttle body a while back. But the larger tyres have transformed the drive.

Then I decided to change the sidelight bulbs back to SMD. Loving using this daily again. Generally quiet at the moment due to a combination of really bad health and stress levels. Right now I wouldn't even put my own families cars in at the garage I help at. And I might be leaving before Christmas. All depends on what happens the rest of this week, as I am negotiating terms to start at another garage in the new year.
