Refurbish Rear Seat Latch Cover

Trying to clean up the peeling plastic pieces. As we know this plastic does not age well. The Rave says to "carefully" remove this cover from the 4 retaining clips but doesn't show them and doesn't say how. This is what I did. First get your acetone and ABS plastic pipe glue out because something will break or is broken. If you depress the cushion at the outside edge of the cove you can see the black plastic indent clips. They fit in the cover holes from the outside.

The trick is to pry these black plastic clip tabs out enough to free the cover. No room and brittle ABS. If you break the black tabs its probably not fixable. When you break the lower part of the cover it is repairable. 2 were cracked and one gone. ABS glued 2 and will build up the missing one with glue and tape as a backing. Black plastic paint and now it looks respectable.
