Andy K and nicedayfor it, thanks for your help. Got it all working by popping fuses back into whatever was missing. It seems the layout stickered to the fuse covers is more accurate than the owner's manual!

Fingers have been burnt! It was the lack of rear window demisting that began it all.

Don't know, when I looked at them it was apparent the IID was the best, their back up and help when things go wrong is first class and it can do everything, I think these other ones are not as comprehensive...
