United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Santorini Black
MY2011 Autobiography Questions

Dear All

I am thinking of ordering a 2011 Autobiography TDV8. Is it worth the extra over the Vogue SE? I have had a look around online and the North American version seems to offer a lot more over the Supercharged which I believe is the model below there (the UK website isn't too helpful). I fancy the exterior design pack too - posey I know. It says it will reduce the off road capabilities of the vehicle - anybody know in what ways (I know I can't order rear diff lock with it).

Does the Autobiography still come with things like the unique keyring, sill plates etc? Should I be concerned a new RR is just a couple/few? years away?

Thank you.

Kind Regards,

John

England 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Tonga Green

Flicking through the latest brochure for the 2011MY Range Rover, they list the following...

4.4 TDV8 AUTOBIOGRAPHY
As 4.4 TDV8 VOGUE SE plus

SUSPENSION & DRIVING DYNAMICS
- Adaptive xenon headlamps

WHEELS
- 20" Style-17 Decal Silver finish alloy wheels

EXTERIOR FEATURES
- Autobiography badge
- Autobiography design pack including Noble finish grille and side vents
- Titan finish front bumper splitter bar and fog lamp bezels
- Bright finish pedals
- Sill tread plates, brushed finish with Autobiography insert

INTERIOR FEATURES
- Full leather facia
- Autobiography leather door panels
- Leather headlining including rear vanity mirrors
- Autobiography luxury floor mats with leather trim edge

INFORMATION, COMMUNICATION & AUDIO
- Duel view touch-screen

Personally I wouldn't consider the exterior design pack - I don't think it does the looks of the car any favours and I have no idea why it would reduce the off-road capabilities of the car (unless its because of the slightly lower front skirt) - I reckon your dealer may just throw in the keyring!

With the new RANGE ROVER being launched in a couple of years - of course it will make a big difference to the resale value of a last of the line top spec edition L322 model - but it don't sound like you are short of a few quid so if you can afford to - spend it!...

...and if you were to upgrade when the newer model comes out - would you really be after one of the first off the production line? - New models can have a reputation for developing a few teething troubles when first launched, which can take a few months to get right?!

I'm a bit confused - you mentioned North America but your forum details are the UK - where will the car be located /driven?

Thumbs Up

Hello

Thank you so much for your reply! Im situated in the UK but was having a look at some reviews (some of which US based) and they seem to get a lot more standard features for less on their Autobiographies.

Kind Regards

John
