Personally I wouldn't consider the exterior design pack - I don't think it does the looks of the car any favours and I have no idea why it would reduce the off-road capabilities of the car (unless its because of the slightly lower front skirt) - I reckon your dealer may just throw in the keyring!
With the new RANGE ROVER being launched in a couple of years - of course it will make a big difference to the resale value of a last of the line top spec edition L322 model - but it don't sound like you are short of a few quid so if you can afford to - spend it!...
...and if you were to upgrade when the newer model comes out - would you really be after one of the first off the production line? - New models can have a reputation for developing a few teething troubles when first launched, which can take a few months to get right?!
I'm a bit confused - you mentioned North America but your forum details are the UK - where will the car be located /driven?
