I had therse on my MY2010 needed a tyre changed due to puncture. The garage i took my car to used one of those "proper" trolley jacks and didnt need to remove the steps. Had no issues, 2011 5.0SC Santorini Black

I have changed tires on our 07 ffrr with retractanle side steps, no problem. Just lock the steps on the outer settings, use a hydraulic garage lift, will not conflict with the steps. |

I've used a merc sprinter bottle jack, much reported on this site, on the normal jacking points. There is a small area between the step and the wheel which allows up and down movement of the jack handle. Works ok. Small and easy to use jack with good lift. 2012 5.0L S/C

You can't use the supplied scissor jack in the boot on the factory jacking points.
