I wouldn't drive it without the cluster as the unit stores the odometer reading which gets cross checked against other units in the car. If they differ then the car starts throwing errors in that regard as well.

Great guys thanks sorry if that sounded a bit angry it was me angry with myself calmed down a bit now will call rudi and cartronix - driving with cluster in for now although dash loose and using Gps speedo... |

Have a search on here or the web, there is a way, to cycle all the dials through a test. That saying, all the needles, will 'Rev up' through a cycle, and return. This might reset the troublesome needle(s).

yes it repairable here (UK) via mail order, for about £100. ie your original unit is returned fixed. the DIY method, is very tricky to do correct, first time.

i should add that, simply obtaining a secondhand unit, with better pixels, is not straightforward, and the mileage wont be accurate, and could be reading way over the actual cars' mileage. and is irreversable. (i believe)

Its back he managed to fix one and replace 3 all good now - also did the white conversion which looks pretty good and now i have good pixels

its quite reasonable - i think its £80 as a mod on its own or £50 with a pixel fix or servo change - seemed rude not to! |
