Hi,

A customer of mine has taking his car to a 'specialist' and they've said that the oil cooler is leaking and has to be replaced.
There are no obvious signs of an oil leak as in on the drive or patches on the undertray but he is adamant that it has to be replaced.

They are quoting just over £1400 to replace it. I have no real idea of what's involved but surely thats a hell of a lot of money??

Do they mean the heat exchanger deep in the V of the engine?

Common issue. The garage I use has done 8 since Feb.

Cost me just over £1000 as there was no water in the coolant, only engine oil! The water mixes with the oil. Not good.

The part is £400 ish without fitting.....
