ive only had mine for five weeks when i got the wobble ,so maybe thats why they changed the discs and pads... ... - .- -.

60 to 70% worn means 30 to 40% left. For the sake of a few quid on a sensor I always wait until the light comes on and thus extract maximum mileage from the discs and pads. Just replaced the rears on mine when the pads got down to 1mm and the old ones were still working just fine.

^ I had the same guff from dealers ( Citroen & Merc). Imbecile at the desk said the discs and pads were worn so I replied, Good, shows the brakes are working. My question about manufacturers recommended minimum thickness for pads and discs was met with a look of puzzlement.....but both are worn and don't have as much material as new discs and pads sir..... they didn't get to work on my brakes. |
