Occasional 'Suspension fault'

The car sits at the right height, is happy going up and down like a who....draws , well enough of that, you get the idea.

Just occasionally when sitting in traffic i get 'suspension fault', I am going to get it looked at but any ideas ? 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE

I get similar, but in any situation not just sitting in traffic.

You'll need to see what codes are being thrown up. With mine it's a heat issue with the compressor. Mine is tired I think.

Not much help, but the first step is codes, then welcome to the world of EAS.

I agree entirely, the reason for posting was for a general conflab, it would be a very quiet site if we all simply got the codes read and fixed the problem Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Mine 10 years old nearly and has 100,000miles on the clock - how good are the compressors for ? 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE

Before replacing the compressor remove the gold colour cone silencer from it and try that mine was blocked, had same problem and even more if I had a trailer on, can't remember the code it gave but I only found the awnser by googling the code and found lots of info about remove or replace it, it worked for me so I just left it off Very Happy

I had the top off the compressor unit - All seems very clean.the car had just been driven and the compressor was not that hot which is good.

Do they do recon kits for these ?n The part number I have is RQL500050 Serial number 00 22768

It is only when it is standing at traffic lights, which is when foot on brake, I have read somewhere that can have an impact - really ?? 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE

Well try going to Neutral and putting the handbrake on when at rest (best practice!) See if that makes a difference?

Have you gone to off road height and checked for leaks? .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

The compressors shut off automatically to prevent overheating (error message appears on dash to a similar description) so I wouldn't imagine you would feel excessive heat off of one. The plastic piston ring inside the air compressor will wear out eventually. I got about 100,000 miles out of mine but a pin hole leak in o/s/f causing excessive work load on compressor speeded up failure in my opinion. Are there any leak noises coming from bags when raised and on a jack? That's when I discovered my leak '55 Java Black Vogue

Thanks

I can't hear anything but will know more on Tuesday when a man who knows what he is doing has a look, rather than me as a replacement for the village idiot takes a look, me.

Are there any refurb units that will rebuild the compressor - I have seen some on ebay but i'm not sure they are the right ones. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE
