Stalling issue...

Hi all - a new issue has developed today - just to keep track I have done a couple of mods, new rad, thermostat mod, cone filter... These have been on at least a week with no issues so thinking a red herring....

Ok so what's happening is random stalling, it does it regardless of fuel, LPG or petrol, I can go a whole journey LPG off same issue.

So first of all of the 6 times I started it today four of them I started it and programmed in a destination on the nav, in that time it had randomly stalled - hadn't even moved.

Next I was coming to a junction about 10-12 times today and slowly or vastly came to a stop each time it stalled (I would say at 50 percent of times) this is incredibly annoying and a bit dangerous I would think have to move to park then go again etc...

Does this issue sound familiar and any ideas where to start?

Hi

Stalling can quite often due to an imbalance fuel / air mix. Did this happen before you fitted the cone air cleaner? Ty it with the standard air box- Also worth checking to see if there are any lose pipes that should be fitted to the original air box - breathers and this type of thing - having these disconnected may also effect the idle / stalling .

Check the MAF, I had this when my MAF had become lose and and disconnected from the air intake pipe

Ok - that's fine I can revert currently bit with the front end mod I've read you have to go the cone route so is there a preferred cone as I'm running generic?

Thanks

A pattern part new MAF or a secondhand original one, is only about £30-£40 small price to prove a fault.
When you swap parts, that you might buy on say EBay, you can often sell them on, should they not cure your fault. If you have proved your fault, after time, you can then decide wether to replace with a new one, or run it as-is.
